Wairarapa Gambling & TAB Board Venue Policies

Draft Wairarapa Gambling Venue Policy and Draft Wairarapa TAB Board Venue Policy

The Carterton, Masterton and South Wairarapa District Councils have reviewed the Wairarapa Gambling Venue Policy and Wairarapa TAB Board Venue Policy and are now undertaking formal consultation with the communities of the Carterton, Masterton and South Wairarapa Districts.
Councils have legislative responsibilities under the Racing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2003 to have policies in place with regards to Class 4 gambling (pokie machines) and TAB Venues. The key intent of these policies is to minimise harm to the community caused by gambling.

Copies of the draft Wairarapa Gambling Venue Policy and Wairarapa TAB Board Venue Policy are available for public inspection from the Carterton, Masterton and South Wairarapa District Council offices and libraries, and online below.
Feedback on the draft Wairarapa Gambling Venue Policy and draft Wairarapa TAB Board Venue Policy is invited up until 5pm, Monday 27 June 2016. You can respond by any one of the ways outlined below:
