Established in 1978, Chanel College is a co-educational Catholic school catering for year 7 to 13.
Makoura College is a state co-educational school for year 9 to 13.
Makoura college also facilitates the Teen Parent Unit which enables teen parents and pregnant teenagers, aged 19yrs or younger, to continue their education.
Rathkeale College is a state-integrated Anglican boys school for years 9 to 13. It is part of the Trinity Schools Trust which also includes Hadlow Primary and St Matthew’s Collegiate and has both boarding houses and day boys. The school becomes co-educational in years 12 and 13.
Solway College is a state-integrated Presbyterian school for girls from Year 7 to Year 13. It is predominantly a boarding school with a limited number of day girl places.

Te Kura is a co-educational composite school that teaches in Te Reo Maori.

Literacy Aotearoa Masterton is situated within REAP House Masterton and works with Adult learners 16 years and above with their learning needs.
Te Wānanga o Aotearoa
In Masterton, Te Wānanga offers finance and business training including a Certificate in Money Management, Certificate in Small Business Management and a Diploma in Small Business Management. These courses are all offered fee-free.
