Pūtea Toi ki Whakaoriori
This funding is for making a difference to the quality, scope, or participation in the arts sector and/or the arts economy. The fund covers visual arts, literature, pottery/ceramics, drama, music, dance, filmmaking, and crafts projects. It is also available for projects on preservation, researching and recording of significant historic artifacts, history, stories, and events. An Information Sheet is below on the criteria and eligibility for this fund. The minimum grant is $2,000.
Funding allocations for the 2024/25 funding year have now been completed.
This fund will open again for 2025/26 in July 2025, please check back here then for an application form.
If you have received funding, please see the Key Documents below to complete and return a project completion form. This is required to be completed and returned within two months of the project finishing.
Successful applicants and their projects in the 2024/25 funding year were: Orchestra Wellington (Music to Schools 2025), Jane Ross (Wheelwright Documentary Film), Natasha Priddle (Wairarapa Arts Outreach), Yarns in Barns (Wairarapa Festival of Reading), Wairarapa Quilters (Quilters Exhibition) and Cody Laing-Bayley (Shakespeare Globe NZ Young Shakespeare Company 2025).
