As part of marking the anniversary of the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi – the Treaty of Waitangi, Masterton District Council, with funding support from the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, has supported the production of a series of four videos which contain interviews with eight members of our local iwi and hapū.
Te Tiriti is the founding document of modern Aotearoa and remains an important living document. These four videos provide a learning opportunity for our community about the current context of Te Tiriti, and the histories of tāngata whenua and mana whenua, their world views, and aspirations.
