Retailer's Group

The Times-Age asked for an update on the Masterton retailers’ group. The following response was provided:

A group of 8-10 retailers met on the afternoon of 15 March. Following this meeting, the timing of future meetings has been changed to enable more to attend. It is now intended to meet every third Wednesday of the month, in the evening. The next meeting will be at 7pm, on Wednesday 19 April at Waiata House.

While it is intended that the Police will attend every meeting to discuss any issues relating to antisocial behaviour, the group’s focus is wider than this.

There was with initial discussion on the need to build on links with the Council, create a strong network of support for retailers and businesses, as well as ways to better promote Masterton’s CBD.
