King Street Road Condition

1. What has been done on King St? Was it a resurface? Yes.

2. How long did the work take? Two days.

3. Is King St particularly vulnerable to road deterioration or potholes forming? [We have seen sections of Chapel St around there which get a battering during wet winters] No. King Street was due a resurface. It has been several years since this was last done.

4. Why aren’t the manhole covers flush with the new road surface level? [they’re set about 5cm below the road surface] Work is still underway to complete this project.

5. Are manhole covers supposed to be flush with the road surface? Yes. This was delayed on King Street due to weather conditions and is currently being rescheduled.
