Information Requests (LGOIMA)

The Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) lets you request information held by local government agencies including Masterton District Council. The Act makes it easy for residents to access official information related to council business.

We get around 10 requests a month and we have to respond to each request “as soon as practical” and no more than 20 working days after we get the request, advising of our decision on the request. Our average response time is 7.5 working days.

You can submit a LGOIMA request by sending an email to mdc@mstn.govt.nz and referencing the Act or you can send a letter to PO Box 444, Masterton.
