Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy
Council adopted the current Arts, Culture and Heritage (ACH) Strategy on 26 June 2019. The strategy builds on progress made since the previous iteration was adopted in 2005, and aligns with Council’s Wellbeing Strategy, He Hiringa Tangata, He Hiringa Whenua.
The ACH Strategy 2019-24 identifies five priority areas:
- Support for the ACH sector
- Telling our stories
- Toi Māori
- Opportunities for people to connect
- Public art.
The goal of our strategy is to strengthen the identity of the Masterton District, support our community to lead exciting ACH projects, and create opportunities for the people of Masterton to connect, perform, create, learn, and express themselves.
