What’s Ahead?

Work has begun on design for a shelter that is up to the latest standards and provides a safe home away from home for any wandering animals. Keep an eye out here for more information as this project develops.

Completed Projects

Below are some of the projects we have completed that you will be able to see and enjoy when you’re out and about in Masterton.

Queen Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth Park

A major upgrade of the park along Memorial Drive and the Lake of Remembrance was undertaken in five stages in order to improve overall accessibility around the lake, increase separation between pedestrian and vehicle activity, soften the lake edge and provide better park furniture such as seating and tables.

At the same time the Queen Elizabeth Park Grandstand Project was completed with a full refurbishment including new changing and ablutions facilities, earthquake strengthening and a new roof.

Library Learning Centre

Library Learning Centre

The Library Learning Centre – Te Puna Ako was created on a vacant site next to the library as an extension of the existing library constructed from three relocatable buildings. It enables more people to take part in popular programmes such as coding, lego and Minecraft groups and support the introduction of new programmes.

This project is a temporary way to expand the space available for the library while a new library and archive is built along with our new civic facility.
