MetService has issued a heavy swell warning for Turakirae Head to Mataikona. This is valid from 12:00 pm 30 September to 12:00 am 01 October. A southerly swell of 4 metres will be developing late Saturday evening, easing to 3 metres Sunday morning. The 4 metre southerly swell coincides with high tide and strong southerly winds Saturday evening.
