Our contractor, Citycare, will be replacing the water main on Hope Street.
- Start date: 3 March 2024.
- End date: 22 March 2024
- Working days: Sunday - Thursday nights, from 6 pm to 7 am.
- Area of work: The area we are working on is all of Hope Street, from Chapel Street to Villa Street.
Traffic Impacts:
- Hope street will be closed to all traffic except residents from 18:00 pm to 07:00 am daily.
- Chapel Street will be on stop go traffic on Thursday the 7th of March from 1900 to 0600.
General Impacts:
- This works involves digging a trench alongside the kerb and channel on the west side of Hope Street and requires excavation and compaction of material. There will be some noise and vibration from time to time.
- There will be no expected interruptions to your existing services at this stage of the project.
- There will be a temporary cut off of the water supply, when Citycare do the reconnection of the existing water supply to the new water main, however affected properties will be notified of this in advance
