Roadworks at Te Kanuka Curve on Masterton Castlepoint Road
Our contractor, Higgins, will be making road safety Improvements and bridge approach repairs at Te Kanuka Curve on Masterton Castlepoint Road.
This work will involve shoulder widening work, installation of W barriers, replacement of road signage, installation of subsoil drainage across the pavement, and cement stabilization on the bridge approaches at both ends of the bridge.
- Start date: Monday 8th April 2024
- End date: 30th June 2024 (weather permitting)
Contractors will be working day and night shifts. The dayshift will be between the hours of 6am to 6pm (approximately). The nightshift will be between the hours of 6pm to 6am (approximately).
In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the work may be delayed. The work will be completed as promptly as possible.
Traffic management will be in place on the dayshift, including stop/go traffic lights. This will commence from Monday 8 April and last the duration of the works.
To allow the subsoil drains to be installed, a road closure will be in place during part of the works. This will happen on the nightshifts, commencing Sunday 14th April.
Nightshift work is planned to take 1-2 weeks but is weather dependent.
Emergency Services will be allowed to pass at any time during the closure.
General Public travel will be restricted.
Nightshift work is scheduled to commence Sunday 14th April. This will include:
- 1 Hour closures starting at: 7pm, 8pm.
- 2 Hour closures starting at: 9pm, 11pm,1am, 3am, 5am.
- Traffic releases will be 15mins prior to each closure time.
