Road Closure | Mataikona Road

Notice of Road Closure for Multiple pavement repairs over Okau Hill, Mataikona Road Between 3.950km and 5.430km

WORK INVOLVES Cement stabilizing of the road surface to address pavement issues, this process will close the road for certain hours per day to ensure we can get in do the work and get out with minimum disruption to the road user.

WHEN Starting 8.30am on Monday the 2nd of December to 4.30pm on Friday the 6th of December 2024.

START AND FINISH Mataikona Road will be closed at the above-mentioned location, between the hours of 8.30am and 12pm, with a ½ hour window for resident travel until 12.30pm.

This section will then be closed again from 12.30pm until 4.30pm each day

It is expected that the work should only be 5-day at most.

WEATHER In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances the work may be delayed until the next available fine day.

TRAFFIC CONTROL Full Road closure will be in place during the above-mentioned times except for emergencies due to the size and quantity of the equipment on site. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to ask one of our staff on site.

SAFETY For your own safety please take direction from our staff whilst passing through site. We endeavour to cause the least inconvenience to you as possible.

Please note that emergency vehicles will not be obstructed.
