Road Closure | Opaki Kaiparoro Road

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE for Culvert replacement on Opaki Kaiparoro Road at RP 22.188, Near the intersection of Bowen Road.

WORK INVOLVES The road will be excavated to access and replace a broken culvert. This process requires a full road closure during the day on Tuesday, 7th January 2025, to ensure we can get in, do the work, and get out with minimum disruption to the road user.

WHEN 7th January 2025

START AND FINISH Between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Tuesday 7th January 2025. The work is expected to be completed within the day.

WEATHER In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances the work may be delayed until the next available fine day.

TRAFFIC CONTROL A full road closure will be in place on the 7th of January 2025 between the hours of 8AM and 6PM. To ensure we can get an uninterrupted go at the culvert work, a detour will be in place via North Road and South Road Mauriceville. Minor delays may occur on the 8th and 9th January 2025 due to finishing work. If you have any questions, feel free to speak with one of our staff on site.

SAFETY Please ensure that you stand well back, preferably from within your property boundary. Also please ensure all pets are well secured within your section during the works operations.

Higgins Wairarapa has been contracted by the Council to complete this work.
