Masterton’s skatepark is loved by all – teens, parents and grandparents who enjoy watching over young ones. But it was in dire need of an upgrade. The upgrade project received strong support from our community and in July 2020 the Government announced it was contributing $1.3 million to make the community’s vision become a reality.
Final designs are now complete and following consultation with the community colours and patterns for the surface have been finalised.
The tender has been awarded to Hunter Civil who have been working on-site for several months. The entire park is now closed so they can complete stage two of the project with the goal of having it open before Christmas.
