You can buy official Council rubbish bags at the following locations:
- Masterton supermarkets
- Castlepoint Store and Riversdale Beach Store
- Our Cutomer Services Centre at 161 Queen Street, Masterton.
Rubbish bags are $4.90 each and can be purchased in packs of 5 for $24.50.
Find your collection day on the sticker on the side of your wheelie bin or via our online maps. You need to put your bins and bags on the side of the road by 7:30am on your collection day and it will be collected by 4:30pm. If your bins or bags aren’t collected please call our Customer Services team on 06 370 6300.
Public holidays
For Masterton urban collections, when a public holiday falls on a collection day, collections for the rest of that week will be a day later. For example, rubbish normally collected on a Friday will be collected on Saturday. When two public holidays fall together (as at Christmas and New Year), collections will be only one day later. Details of holiday rubbish collection will always be notified through Antenno.
Coastal collections in Castlepoint, Riversdale, and Tinui take place on public holidays, except for Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Good Friday.
