Local Government Official Information Amendment (LGOIMA) Bill
For the Record
Following Kieran McAnulty’s announcement of changes to the Local Government Official Information Amendment (LGOIMA) Bill, the Times-Age asked for comment on the impact for councils, particularly around providing information on natural hazards in LIMs.The following comment, attributable to Steven May, Manager Regulatory Services., was provided: Masterton District Council already provides natural hazard information that is available on the District Plan in LIM reports. This can include information on flood mapping, liquefaction, and fault lines, if this is available. The full implications for councils will not be known until the final legislation is passed.
