Colombo Road bridge lane change
News
The new southbound lane of the Colombo Road bridge over the Waipoua River will be temporally opened for traffic in single lane use from 7pm on Wednesday 29 March to allow for roadworks on the existing northbound lane. Pedestrian access will also be available temporarily on the new bridge.
The work is expected to take approximately 10 days (and is weather dependent), after which the northbound (upstream) lane will again be the single lane in use until the new bridge is fully reopened. This is expected in late April.
Temporary traffic lights will remain in place throughout this period.
