Masterton’s Christmas parade returns to Queen Street
Masterton’s Christmas parade will take place on Saturday 2 December, along Queen Street.
Council Community Activator Ella Hall said registrations for 10 floats had already been received and it was anticipated that number would at least triple by the time registrations close on 10 November. Anyone wanting to be part of the iconic annual event can email: events@mstn.govt.nz
“We’ve had a lot of support for returning the parade to Queen Street and we’re really looking forward to the community getting behind what really is a true New Zealand tradition in the lead-up to Christmas,” Ella said.
The parade will take place around midday, with details of starting and end points to be confirmed closer to the time.
The parade ran down Dixon Street in 2022 and 2020, having been cancelled due to Covid-19 in 2021.
