Do you have an interest and knowledge in at least one arts sector and would like to give some of your time as a contribution to our community?
The Masterton District Creative Communities Scheme and Arts Fund committee, consists of seven community members, who meet to consider applications for the allocation of funding for the Masterton District Creative Communities Scheme and the Masterton Arts Fund each year.
We are looking for three assessors due to one resignation and two, end of term current members. Ideally, we would very much welcome at least one assessor to be of Māori descent and have local knowledge of Toi Māori.
You would be involved in assessing applications with the committee to allocate funding to projects applied for. An assessor’s guide is provided together with help from the current committee members.
The commitment for this is to attend at least three of the four, grant round meetings held per funding year from July to June. Meetings typically run for up two hours each quarter, with a week provided to score applications received at each round. Assessors can remain on the committee for up to two, three-year terms. Assessors are unpaid, providing their time to this committee as a way of helping our arts community.
Nominations received will be considered by the current committee and the successful nominees advised as soon as possible after the closing date. The first meeting will take place on 5 June 2025.

Nominations close at 4.30pm on Friday, 18 April 2025.
