Bore tests on stopbanks
Public Notices
Access to recreation trails on the stopbanks beside the Waipoua River may be restricted at some points next week as 4.5m test bores are drilled at 10 locations on both sides of the river, between the railway bridge and the Colombo Road bridge.
The work to assess the geology of the stopbanks has been commissioned by Greater Wellington Regional Council and is scheduled to take place between Monday and Friday.
Each borehole location will be fenced off during work, with holes reinstated after drilling. Holes will not be left unfilled.
