Henley Lake closed to recreational use due to toxic algae blooms

Henley Lake has been closed to recreational use due to high concentrations of toxic algae. People are advised not to swim or let dogs near the water. An Amber alert/caution is in place for the Ruamahanga River at Kokotau and The Cliffs due to elevated levels of toxic algae.

Roadworks - Masterton-Castlepoint Road

Major upgrading work on Masterton-Castlepoint Road begins on Monday (3 March), and will continue for three weeks, 7am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday. A detour will be in place for light vehicles only between Blairlogie and Langdale, using Blairlogie-Langdale Road and Langdale Road. Other vehicles should expect delays of up to 30 minutes on the route.

Masterton District Council apologises for the inconvenience to road users, but it is important to complete the work before winter.
