Road Resurfacing | Harley Street
NOTICE OF ROADWORSK - Harley Street is scheduled for a Reseal as part of the Council’s Annual Resurfacing Programme
WORK INVOLVES: Application of hot bitumen and sealing chips, followed by sweeping and removal of excess chips at least 48hrs post sealing.
WHEN: 24th March 2025 – 29th March 2025 (Weather dependent)
ROAD NAME:Harley Street (Short Street Intersection – South Belt Intersection)
START AND FINISH: Between the hours of 7am to 7pm
WEATHER: In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances the work may be delayed until the next available fine day.
VEHICLE ACCESS: Your normal vehicle access will be restricted with a road closure in place in blocks (Short Street intersection to Vivian Street Intersection, Vivian Street Intersection to South Belt Intersection) to allow new surfacing to be applied. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to ask one of our staff on site.
PARKING: Can you please ensure your vehicle is not parked on the street during the above period. One of our friendly staff may come knocking on your door prior to the works operation for its removal. If the owner cannot be located, either a friendly note will be left on the vehicle or may be towed and returned on completion.
SAFETY: Please warn children of the dangers posed by roadworks. Ensure that they stand well back, preferably from within your property boundary. Also please ensure all pets are well secured within your section during the sealing operation.
WE’LL BE BACK: All new sealing works require routine sweeping post 48hrs from completion of chipseal works. This will be monitored and carried out as required to remove excessive loose chips. Please be careful of loose chips on footpaths and across driveways and bitumen tracks on vehicle tyres.
