Road Closures | Masterton Castlepoint Road

NOTICE OF ROADWORKS - Road closures on Masterton Castlepoint Road (Tauweru Bridge) – from Te Parae Road to Abbotsford Road

WORK INVOLVES: This section of road is now end of life and will be replaced; this involves digging up the entire road surface. A full road closure will be in place to ensure the work can be completed as quickly and safely as possible.

WHEN: Every night between Monday 14th of April and Thursday 17th April 2025. The road will be closed from 8.30pm to 11pm. The road will temporarily reopen between 11pm and 12am (midnight) to allow traffic to pass through and then shut again from 12am to 6am.

WEATHER: In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances the work may be delayed until the next available fine day.

TRAFFIC CONTROL: Road closure will be in place during the hours stated above to ensure we can get an uninterrupted go at the work. No detour will be in place If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to ask one of our staff on-site. The work area is between Te Parae Road and Abbotsford Road.

SAFETY: Please ensure that you stand well back, preferably from within your property boundary. Also please ensure all pets are well secured within your section during the work operations.

The Council has contracted Higgins Wairarapa to do this work. For further information about this project, please contact the person mentioned below or alternatively approach the supervisor on-site.
