Any wandering stock should be reported to Animal Services on 06 370 6300 or 06 378 7752 after hours.
Impounded Livestock
We currently have a goat who was found secured to a fence on Upper Plain Road on 9 September, it's brown with some white markings.
Grazing Permits
If you would like to graze your stock on the road reserve you will need to complete a Grazing Permit Application (PDF, 196KB).
Your permit is subject to a number of conditions:
- The Grazing Permit when granted shall be for a period of 3 full months from the date of approval, ending on the last day of the third full month following application.
- The Grazing Permit is not deemed granted until either the applicant is in possession of a copy of this document signed by an Animal and Bylaw Services team member OR is in receipt of an email from MDC Animal and Bylaw Services confirming the permit is granted.
