Masterton Cycling Strategy

This Cycling Strategy outlines a plan to make cycling in Masterton safer and more attractive. This has been a combined effort with several other agencies including Waka Kotahi, the Wairarapa Road Safety Council, and Greater Wellington Regional Council. Together these other agencies are responsible for state highways, funding support for local roads, road safety education, cycling promotion and regional route network planning.
The Trails Wairarapa Trust and Wairarapa Multisports Club have joined with Council and the other agencies in a Cycling Advisory Group, which meets about twice each year and has assisted in the preparation of this Cycling Strategy.
